About this Role

Chiltern Wood School is an expanding Special School currently supporting  228+ students ranging from ages 3 to 19 years. The school is located over three sites in Cressex, Downley and Studley Green.

We offer the opportunity to become part of a team of caring professionals during an exciting stage in the school’s development, and contribute purposefully to how special educational needs are met in the Wycombe area.  You will be well supported by welcoming and knowledgeable staff within a well-run, hard-working school which holds as its core value the wellbeing of its pupils, parents and staff.

As a school, we strive to continually improve our practice, and aim to secure only the very best outcomes for our pupils through high quality provision and practice.

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at the Downley site.  Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Kitchen Assistant will ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children at lunchtimes under the direction of the appropriate person as identified by the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school who have varying special needs.  The Kitchen Assistant will assist as directed, with all aspects of the preparation of food and beverages to the standards required by the school and will be responsible for making lunchtimes a positive and learning experience for all.

The role may also include supporting the teams in a Midday Supervisor capacity – as per the job description and from time to time, support at our other sites may be required, though this will be occasional cover support.

 Monday - Friday 10:30am – 1:30pm

Bucks Pay : Range 1b .6-10 (Actual pay - £8,039 - £8,359)

We welcome applications from candidates who feel that they have a positive attitude and aptitude to work in this area. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

You will be well supported by experienced and welcoming staff within a well-run, hard-working school which holds as its core value the wellbeing of its pupils, parents and staff.

All applications should be submitted via My New Term.
