Bradwell Village School is seeking to appoint a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated SENCO & Inclusion Lead to join our vibrant and inclusive school community. We are part of a unique Federation that includes an Infant School, a Junior School, and a Special School, offering our team members exceptional opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. Our school has an Autism Spectrum Condition Unit for children with Education, Health and Care Plans. By September 2026, the unit will support 24 pupils. We are looking for someone who is eager to contribute to and be an integral part of this development.
About
the Role
This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will lead the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision and inclusion across the school, overseeing provision, monitoring pupil progress, and ensuring effective support and interventions are in place for all pupils.
Key
Responsibilities
· Lead
and embed high-quality SEND provision aligned with the SEND Code of Practice,
working closely with pastoral leaders and staff to support pupils to thrive.
· Co-ordinate
targeted interventions monitoring
provision through data analysis and annual reviews, identifying areas for
improvement.
· Line
Manage and quality-assure the deployment of teaching assistants, providing
training and guidance for effective support.
· Collaborate
with families, external agencies, and the local authority to ensure timely EHCP
implementation and meaningful co-production with families.
· Promote
a positive, inclusive school culture where all pupils feel welcome, safe, and
able to access all curricular and extracurricular activities.
· Teach
in the ASC Unit for 0.3 of a week.
What we

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· National Award for SEN Coordination
(NASENCo) or NPQ SEND qualification, or willingness to complete it
· Experience working with pupils with SEND,
ideally in specialist or inclusive settings
· Strong leadership, communication, and
organisational skills
· Deep commitment to inclusive education and
improving outcomes for all pupils
· Ability to work effectively under pressure
and prioritise competing demands
· Commitment to safeguarding and promoting
pupil welfare
