About this Role

Senior Boys’ Rowing Coach

Bedford School | Full-time | Fixed Term Contract | Up to £40,000 + accommodation

Bedford School seeks a Senior Boys Rowing Coach to play a central role in our ambition to re-establish the programme among the leading school rowing environments in the UK, with a clear trajectory towards competing for the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup.

The role is centred on leading the coaching and development of the senior boys’ squad within a well-supported performance programme and excellent facilities, alongside meaningful involvement in the wider life of the school as part of a full-time position. Free on-site shared staff accommodation is included. We are particularly interested in coaches who have led a programme, those who have taken responsibility for leading a squad and are ready to step into a larger and more competitive environment, and former elite athletes who bring the understanding and skillset required to coach at high performance level.

Full time (average of 37 hrs across calendar year) until August 2029 (fixed contract).

We offer excellent facilities including our boathouse, indoor rowing centre, and S&C provision.
