About this Role

This is a permanent position for approximately 27.5 hours per week in the first instance (this is negotiable for the successful candidate).  This is  part time  hours but will be over  52 weeks per year.   We are looking to fill the hours from  12:00pm to 18:00pm Monday to Friday.  However, we are flexible on the number of hours worked per day and are willing to look at working regularly between 4 and 6 hours per day.  There will be some flexibility with hours during school holidays.  

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • To work as part of the site team, responding to day-to-day requests from stakeholders 
  • Undertake scheduled maintenance of equipment, including the testing and operation of water systems, residual current devices, fire and security alarms and the reporting of faults.
  • Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks, commensurate with experience and level of responsibility.
  • Report to the School Business Manager any repairs and/or maintenance work required at the premises which cannot be undertaken as part of the above duties.
  • Undertake site porterage duties of supplies and equipment, set-ups, transportation, lifting, handling tasks and litter management duties 
  • Carry out security procedures for grounds, premises and their contents including the routine and non-routine opening and closing of premises as required
  • To work within the schools’ policies and procedures

All training will be provided.

Additional  income is available for  lettings during the weekends and some evenings.

Visits are welcome to the school.
