About this Role

St Swithun’s Church of England Primary School is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within our dedicated team. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 27.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. This role will be predominantly in Years 1 to 6, but will include working in the EYFS and with SEND children in a 1:1 capacity.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a strong team player and enjoys working with others

  • Is caring and patient, with a good sense of humour
  • Can use their initiative and is solution focused
  • Has high expectations and a belief that all children can succeed
  • Is keen to learn and develop in their role

Ideally you will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge and understanding with regards to child development and the curriculum and how to enhance a child’s experiences and build upon their learning.

The candidate should hold either of  the following qualifications or similar: 

CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant (RQF) Qualification & SEN Certificate

NCFE Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3
