About this Role

Whilst St Matthew’s is one of the largest primary schools in Luton, it has a calm, personal and happy atmosphere. The sense of being in an ambitious, supportive family is often commented on by children, parents, staff and visitors alike.

Finding the right people to work with our children is paramount. So if you want children to feel safe, be happy, be excited, love coming to school and to progress each and every day and you want to work with a wholly child centred leadership team, please apply.

From our new Admissions and Attendance Officer we would ask you to:

  • Demonstrate professionalism and accuracy in all aspects of the role

  • Have the ability to build productive and collaborative relationships

  • Have excellent IT skills

  • Be organised, have excellent attention to detail and be able to work to competing deadlines

  • Understand the need for a culture of safeguarding in all aspects of school business

  • Be versatile, flexible, forward thinking and be a great team player

In return we can offer you:

  • A truly child centred, friendly and holistic school

  • A strong team and school community

  • A safe and nurturing environment for our staff as well as our pupils

  • A supportive and solution focused SLT who are dedicated to school improvement

As well as:

  • Progression pathways

  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme

  • Comprehensive whole school and individual CPD programme

  • Onsite parking

  • A well-equipped staff room, access to school lunches and a central location with many amenities in very short walking distance

We all know a picture speaks a thousand words, so a visit to St Matthew’s is the only way to fully understand why you should want to work here…people who step over our threshold are amazed by the atmosphere, calmness and vibrancy of our school.

If we sound like the school for you, please call for an informal chat, arrange a visit or simply apply now.

This role is 37 hours a week, term time plus INSET days.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
