About this Role

Houghton Regis Primary School is a warm, welcoming and growing school, including a Nursery, with approximately 400 children on roll. At Houghton Regis Primary School, we aim for every child to experience success, learn from their mistakes and to develop an open and inquisitive mind. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who shares this same vision and is passionate about teaching and learning and has secure knowledge of the curriculum.

We are looking for a resilient and motivated individual who has a strong desire to nurture children as they grow into independent, highly motivated learners. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of success in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes. We believe that every child is capable of achieving their full potential and maximising their learning opportunities to excel in all that they do.

We provide a happy, safe and positive environment, which nurtures confidence, motivation, independence and personal success for all pupils. We are focused on the development of the whole child and our pupils’ progress and well-being is our core purpose at all times.

All candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school and meet our dedicated pupils and staff to experience what life is like at our school. To arrange a visit, please contact the school on 01582 867487 or email  fjones@houghtonregisprimary.co.uk. For more information, please find attached the Person Specification, Job Description and Application Information.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All references will be sought prior to interview and successful applicants will be required to undertake enhanced disclosure checks.
