Victoria
School is an all age 2-19 special school based in Northfield; supporting pupils
with cognition and learning needs, profound and multiple learning disabilities
(PMLD), physical disabilities and complex medical health and learning needs. We
cater for 228 pupils and are extremely proud of our provision and whole school
community.

The successful Candidate will need to demonstrate
how they can:
· Work using own initiative, and as part of a team
· Support the varied, complex needs of our pupils
· Communicate clearly and effectively with parents/carers, pupils
and colleagues
· Take ownership of tasks
· Work flexibly to meet the needs of the school
The successful candidate will be a valuable
member of the team, providing personal care support to our female pupils.
You will work as part of a team to develop personal care programmes for pupils
and will assist pupils to implement their own personal care programmes during
the school day, specifically in relation to practical support for:

Personal hygiene
·
Toileting and continence training
·
Hoisted transfers
·
Eating and drinking
You will be required to:
·
Keep records related to personal care in
conjunction with the appropriate teacher/other officer
·
Maintain and clean personal care equipment and
materials, clothing etc.
·
Maintain toiletry supplies
·
Cooperatively with other staff supporting the pupils’
educational and health care needs under the guidance of a member of the Senior
Management or Senior Leadership Teams.
A willingness to undertake further training as deemed necessary is a requirement of the post.
