About this Role

Water Mill Primary School is a warm and friendly one form entry primary school with a strong sense of community. We are situated on the borders of Selly Oak and Harborne, Birmingham.  We are proud of the rich diversity of our community and the excellent relationships that exist between pupils, staff, Governors and parents.

As our Building Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in making sure our school is safe, clean, and comfortable for the children and staff who use it every day. If you’re friendly, approachable, and enjoy taking a hands‑on approach to keeping a building running smoothly, we’d love you to join our team. This is a chance to be part of a caring environment where your work truly makes a difference to the school community.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and great with people
  • Practical, hands‑on, and happy to get involved.
  • Organised and reliable, with a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Safety-conscious, with an eye for detail
  • Proud of keeping a building running smoothly
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a welcoming school community

 Why Join Us?

  • You’ll be a valued member of our small, supportive team, working closely with the School Business Manager
  • Every day brings something new and rewarding
  • You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, happy space where children can learn and thrive
  • We offer a friendly environment where your work truly matters

If you enjoy making a difference behind the scenes and want to work in a cheerful, child‑centred setting, we’d love to hear from you!

We actively encourage visits to the school. Please contact the school office on 0121 464 7769 to arrange this or email vacancy@watermill.bham.sch.uk.
