About this Role

Fortismere School is looking to appoint a SEND Operations & LINC Team Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join us in a pivotal departmental leadership role. Working at the heart of our inclusive community, you will manage the operational delivery, resource optimisation, and training within the LINC Department, alongside coordinating teaching support, interventions, and keyworker provision for students with SEND and EHCPs.

While this is a highly operational and administrative role, you will not be working in isolation. At Fortismere, inclusion is a whole-school commitment; you will be backed by a supportive leadership team, the SENDCo, and a collaborative staff community dedicated to making our provisions a success.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Headteacher – Learning Inclusion (SENDCo) and teaching staff to co-ordinate provision that ensures that students with SEND can access the curriculum, with a particular focus on students with an EHCP. The role will include leading the day-to-day deployment, line management, and professional training of our Teaching Assistant (TA) team, managing the statutory Annual Reviews process for EHCPs, tracking intervention data, and managing departmental resources and digital frameworks efficiently.

We are looking for a highly organised, resilient, and proactive individual who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting young people with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice, excellent communication skills, robust IT literacy, and the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with staff, families, and external agencies.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  •        Assist in the leadership, deployment, line management, and professional development of the Teaching Assistant team.
  •         Manage comprehensive staff timetables and coordinate daily departmental resources in coordination with the SENDCo.
  •         Oversee the statutory Annual Reviews process for EHCPs, including compiling profiles, records, and reports for Local Authorities.
  •        Plan and execute structured intervention programmes, meticulously tracking student baseline, entry, and exit data to demonstrate impact.
  •         Identify whole-school and departmental training needs, facilitating workshops to share best practices across teaching staff.
  •        Maintain and update the whole-school Register of Students with SEND, ensuring smooth transitions for newly admitted pupils.
  •         Work collaboratively, flexibly, and with high professional integrity within a busy, dynamic school environment.
  •        Contribute positively to the inclusive ethos and wider life of the school.

We can offer:

  •        A welcoming, supportive, and collaborative working environment.
  •         A highly experienced and dedicated SEND and LINC team.
  •         Ongoing professional development, including leadership and SEND-informed training.
  •         Opportunities to develop expertise within a highly successful, inclusive provision.
  •         Pension scheme, Cycle Scheme, Season Ticket Loan, Tech Scheme, and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
  •         Happy, motivated students who enjoy learning and being part of the school community.
  •         A committed Governing Body and experienced leadership team.

Fortismere School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
