About this Role

 About Us

Mapledown School is a secondary special school in Cricklewood, in the London Borough of Barnet, catering for students with Severe and Profound or Complex Learning Difficulties and Autism. We are proud of our inclusive ethos and vision: to create a learning environment where everyone—students and staff alike—can work and grow together, to achieve their best.

We believe every young person deserves the dignity of challenge, the opportunity to be heard, and the support to become as independent as possible. Our personalised curriculum is designed to equip students with meaningful knowledge and skills that will positively impact their lives.

The Role

Are you a dedicated and compassionate educator with a passion for working with secondary-aged students with special educational needs? We are seeking a skilled Special Needs Teacher to deliver tailored education that empowers our students to achieve their full potential.

Our staff are dedicated to providing a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for secondary-aged students with special educational needs. The school is a place where every student is valued, nurtured, and challenged to achieve their best-academically, socially, and personally. We are looking for an inspiring teacher to join our dedicated team. We are opening a new site in September in Whetstone, and the successful candidate would be based there, and be part of a supportive team who will be developing a wonderful new provision.
If you are passionate about making a difference and want to work in a supportive, enthusiastic, and hard-working environment, we would love to hear from you!
